                            five tips:
»» T is for time. It’s not time to eat until kids have washed their hands and face, and

                               everyone else has been served.
»» A is for ask. Remind your children to say “please pass the cranberries” instead

                               of reaching across the table.
»» B is for bites—nobody wants to see them! Everyone should chew with mouths closed

and wait to talk until after swallowing.
»» L is for leave. Before coming to the table, people should leave their phones behind. After

dinner, they should leave a compliment for the chef.
»» E is for excused. Help your children remember not to leave the table until they’ve asked

                               for and received permission.
Teaching your children table manners can help them participate in conversations.
During the holidays, this may give them opportunities to get to know visiting friends and
                            loved ones better.
Washing before eating can also prevent germs from getting into food and causing
sickness. A healthy holiday is a much happier one!
